All UP ACM members who would like to join the UP ACM Java Special Interest Group (Java SIG) are asked to come to the SIG’s first meeting for the academic year on Thursday, October 16, at 1 in the afternoon 11 in the morning. The meeting will be held at the Classroom 2 of the UP Alumni Engineers Centennial Hall (more commonly known as the Engineering Library 2 and Department of Computer Science Building).

Non-members are also invited to join the SIG on the condition that they will apply as a member of UP ACM this coming semester.

Members are requested to attend UP ACM’s third general assembly tomorrow. Important matters will be discussed, including the delegation of roles in the organization’s upcoming activities. Free food will be served.

Ubuntu Love Day Manila 2008 is a grassroots effort to spread the spirit of Ubuntu. On August 23, 2008, learn and interact with fellow Ubuntu enthusiasts on how you use Ubuntu in your everyday computing needs. We invited 6 resource persons to share their experiences with Ubuntu in different areas of interest:
