Desktops on Desktops: OS Showdown!
This coming Y4iT 2006, UP ACM will be holding a side event at the Bahay ng Alumni entitled “Desktops on Desktops: OS Showdown!”.
“Desktops on Desktops” features a parallelistic view of an operating system (OS) showdown. Demonstrating the hardware utilization properties of today’s widely-used operating systems, such as GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows, this event hopes to show the major differences of each architecture, and how one desktop could run on top of another desktop. This event is open to everyone, student and professionals alike, who are interested in “benchmarking” operating systems.
